Part Time Courtesy Officer

Ventron Management is seeking law enforcement officers to live and work at our locations to represent the security force of our property.

This is a non-exempt position a W-2 will be provided.

Courtesy Officer Candidates MUST be an active duty police officer, with a local/state law enforcement agency, the candidate must be able to live on property, and work a minimum of 20-25 hours per week.

Courtesy Officer DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES included but not limited to:

  • Notifying the Property manager of planned absences or shift changes
  • Meeting with the Property Manager at least weekly
  • Maintaining a courteous, visible presence among the resident population
  • Nightly Property Patrol: Conduct nightly property patrols, sometimes in uniform, while scanning QR codes placed throughout the property. Compile a daily report, noting any issues such as malfunctioning lights, inoperable fire extinguishers, life safety concerns, calls received, and other incidents. Sign, date, and record the time of the patrol in the Officers Report App.
  • Documentation: Utilize the Officers Report application to clock in/out, submit daily activity reports, incident reports, and document any parking violations.
  • After-Hours Availability: Carry a cell phone and be on call after business hours to respond to disturbances or safety-related calls promptly.
  • Property Security: Secure fitness, laundry, clubhouse, and pool areas nightly, ensuring the safety and security of these facilities. Check the leasing office for security purposes.
  • Community Engagement: Attend as many property-sponsored social functions as possible to foster positive relationships with residents.
  • Distribution of Notices: Distribute letters, notices, and other communication materials to residents as requested.
  • Assist Property Manager: Assist the Property Manager in handling resident problems and issues when requested.
  • Parking Enforcement: Tag cars with expired tags or parking violations, ensuring adherence to property rules and regulations.
  • Communication: Notify the Property Manager of planned absences or shift changes in advance to ensure proper coverage.
  • Community Awareness: Participate in Community Awareness Meetings to stay informed about property-related concerns and initiatives.
  • Regular Meetings: Meet with the Property Manager at least weekly to discuss property-related matters, concerns, and updates.
  • Visible Presence: Maintain a courteous and visible presence within the resident population, fostering a sense of security and community.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active duty Police officer position or higher with a local/state law enforcement agency.

  • Must be able to meet the job duties and responsibilities as needed.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
