PRN Respiratory Therapist – LiveWell Homecare Agency

Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist II provides complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments in critical care settings. They independently manage ventilators, perform airway procedures, analyze arterial blood gases, and educate patients and staff. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality, safe, and evidence-based care while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients and collaborate on care planning
• Administer aerosolized medications, oxygen, and medical gases
• Manage ventilators, perform weaning, and interpret waveforms
• Conduct airway procedures, arterial blood sampling, and pulmonary testing
• Educate patients, mentor new staff, and support staff development
• Ensure safety through accurate documentation, charting, and compliance with safety protocols
• Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practices

Qualifications & Skills:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Respiratory Therapy (preferred)
• Licenses and certifications: NBRC-RRT, Respiratory Care Prof, BLS, and ACLS
• 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills
• Ability to establish effective relationships with healthcare professionals
