PRN Respiratory Therapist – LiveWell Homecare Agency

Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient education in complex critical care settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients and collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
• Administer aerosolized medications, manage ventilators, perform airway management, and conduct arterial blood gas sampling.
• Educate patients, mentor new staff, and support staff development and training.
• Ensure patient safety through accurate documentation, medication safety, and adherence to quality initiatives.
• Participate in invasive and non-invasive procedures, diagnostic testing, and performance improvement activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).
• Certifications: NBRC-RRT, Respiratory Care Professional, BLS, and ACLS.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and computer skills.
