Job Summary

VSA is seeking a skilled Vascular Interventional (VI) Technologist to join our Angio Suite team at our Austell location. In this role, you will provide direct technical support during live fluoroscopic and angiographic vascular procedures, working closely with our physicians, APPs, and clinical staff to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. While your primary location will be the Austell Angio Suite, this role may require occasional travel to support staffing needs at our other Metro Atlanta locations.

Duties

  • Provide in-room technical support during vascular interventional procedures (e.g., angiography, angioplasty, stent placements) under physician or APP direction
  • Prepare and maintain the angio suite, including equipment setup, sterile field maintenance, and contrast media preparation
  • Operate fluoroscopic imaging equipment, ensuring proper technique and adherence to radiation safety and ALARA principles
  • Monitor and maintain patient positioning and safety throughout procedures
  • Assist with patient prep, positioning, and post-procedure care as needed
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance checks on imaging and procedural equipment; report malfunctions promptly
  • Maintain accurate procedural documentation in accordance with practice and regulatory standards
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, radiation safety, and all applicable regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nursing staff, and other team members to support smooth procedural workflow
  • Support inventory and supply management for the angio suite
  • Occasional travel to other VSA clinical locations as needed to support staffing coverage

Qualifications

  • Current ARRT(R) certification (Radiography) required
  • ARRT post-primary certification in Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI) or Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI) required
  • Current Georgia state radiography licensure (if applicable)
  • Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Minimum 3 of experience in an angio suite, cath lab, or interventional radiology setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of fluoroscopic imaging equipment, sterile technique, and radiation safety protocols
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced procedural environment
  • Ability to travel to other VSA locations as needed

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to wear lead aprons and stand for extended periods during procedures
  • Ability to lift and assist with patient positioning
  • Exposure to radiation within regulated safety limits

Experience:
