Traveling MRI Technologist – Onyx Imaging

Qualifications

• Must have successfully completed a two-year Radiology Technology/ XRAY program which is accredited by the AMA and the American Registry of Radiology Technologist. (ARRT) Certification may be shown.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Must possess the ability to grasp and apply the scientific principles related to magnetic resonance technology
• Clinical experience in MRI
• Prior experience with Siemens brand and GE scanners preferred
• Must understand all MRI safety standards
• Good communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and patient management skills
• MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL WITHIN THE METRO ATLANTA AREA

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging procedures(MRI)
• Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services
• Promotes a safe environment at Onyx Imaging
• Operates modality specific technical equipment related to patient care imaging, image processing, image transmission, image archiving and computerized electronic medical records
• Provides radiologists and physicians with patient history relative to exam being performed and obtaining informed consent
• Assists radiologists, as required, to ensure satisfactory patient care
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, sedation/anesthesia personnel and all staff members to ensure a safe outcome for the patient
• Uses critical thinking principles in making decisions which lead to desired outcomes while participating in the achievement of organizational and department goals by following hospital and departmental policies

Pay: From $50.00 per hour

Education:

• Bachelor’s (Preferred)

Experience:

• CT: 1 year (Preferred)
• X-ray: 1 year (Preferred)
• MRI: 1 year (Required)

Language:

• Spanish (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• ARRT (M) Certification (Required)
