Radiation Therapist FT – LiveWell Homecare Agency

Role: Staff Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology Department, responsible for delivering ionizing radiation treatments following physician prescriptions.

Responsibilities:

• Operate radiation equipment safely and accurately, performing complex technical procedures.
• Participate in quality control monitoring and ensure precise treatment delivery.
• Assess patients, perform procedures, and provide age-appropriate care for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Document all activities in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Educate patients and families on treatment side effects and use of treatment aids.
• Ensure safety protocols, including radiation safety badges, universal precautions, and fall assessments.
• Simulate new patients and schedule treatments according to physician orders.
• Assist with patient mobility, report discrepancies, and perform additional tasks as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotations and serve as a clinical instructor for students, evaluating and providing feedback.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Associates degree or related field from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years of radiation therapy experience preferred.
• Certifications: ARRT-T Radiation Therapy, BLS or ARC-BLS.
• Demonstrated ability to treat and simulate patients effectively.
