Fire/EMS Equipment Manager – Douglas County, GA

SALARY: $25-$30.00/hourly
SUMMARY : This is technical and administrative work within the Fire and EMS Department under the general direction of the Deputy Fire Chief of Administration. The incumbent is responsible for the recording of the inflow and outflow of equipment and supplies through the department using designated computer software and reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- Accepting and receiving shipments of supplies and equipment
- Ability to comprehend and analyze supply problems
- Requires knowledge of various software platforms, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, ImageTrend, Vector Solutions, etc.
- Utilize county furnished email and software to properly maintain inventory of various supplies or equipment
- Updating inventory count and maintaining inventory records to share with management and other internal stakeholders as needed
- Assist in maintaining records
- Small repairs, maintenance on equipment as needed
- Liaison with vendors/suppliers as needed
- Logistical support to other divisions within department, as needed
Performing other duties as assigned

MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- · High school diploma or General Educational Development Certificate (GED)
- · Two years professional related work experience; demonstrated proficiency with inventory control and data entry
· An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Ability and willingness to drive a county vehicle
- Must meet all eligibility requirements established by the Board of Commissioners
- Must be willing to submit to random drug and alcohol screening as directed
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License (Class C) and satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR)
- Possess and maintain a valid Georgia Driver’s License (Class C) and a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) if assigned job duties requiring the use of a vehicle
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified, or certification within six months of employment
- Other duty-specific certifications may be required during employment to satisfy specific assigned duties and responsibilities if required by assignment within six months of hire
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to work efficiently and decisively in a fast-paced environment
- General knowledge of computer software
- General knowledge of inventory control procedures
- Knowledge of data entry
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to record and maintain accurate records and reports
- Ability to plan, organize daily tasks and assignments

WORK SCHEDULE:
- Part-time – 30 hours per week maximum
