Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of exam rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, hallways, and administrative offices using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
• Handle chemical agents safely, following all safety protocols and handling procedures to prevent accidents or contamination
• Operate floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial equipment to maintain polished floors and overall cleanliness
• Conduct sanitation procedures for high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and medical equipment to ensure infection control standards are met
• Lift heavy cleaning supplies or equipment safely, adhering to proper lifting practices to prevent injury
• Maintain cleaning logs and report any facility maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
• Follow all safety protocols during cleaning activities, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and chemical handling safety procedures

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or healthcare environments preferred
• Familiarity with cleaning techniques for medical facilities, including sanitation standards and infection control practices
• Experience operating cleaning machinery such as floor buffers or carpet cleaners is advantageous
• Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and proper use of custodial equipment
• Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices for heavy objects or supplies
• Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with staff members when needed
• Previous experience in industrial cleaning, residential painting, or facilities maintenance is a plus
