The Distribution Lead is responsible for leading daily execution and frontline activities related to shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material movement. This role serves as a subject matter expert and on-the-floor leader, ensuring work is performed safely, accurately, and in accordance with standard operating procedures.

The Distribution Lead works closely with supervisors and management to reinforce a workplace culture that reflects ResMed’s organizational values, standards, core competencies, and behaviors. This position reports to the Distribution Supervisor.


Shift: Monday to Thursday (Hours may vary)


Let’s talk about Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate daily activities for distribution employees to ensure safe and efficient execution
  • Actively participate in day-to-day warehouse operations while guiding team performance
  • Own execution of assigned work areas to ensure productivity, quality, and service expectations are met
  • Perform and support inventory control activities including cycle counts, system transactions, reporting, and reconciliation
  • Expedite critical or priority shipments as required to meet customer and business commitments
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for questions, issues, or guidance from distribution team members
  • Support onboarding and training of warehouse employees in standard work and safety requirements
  • Reinforce standard operating procedures and ensure consistent execution across the team
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, and implementations as needed
  • Enforce all OSHA, FDA, ISO, and company safety and quality requirements
  • Identify operational issues and escalate risks, constraints, or trends to leadership in a timely manner
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work environment
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Job Environment:

  • Will walk and may occasionally sit, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 40 lbs
  • May handle "packaged" hazardous materials
  • Warehouse environment with noise levels usually moderate to high

Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience:

Required:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (combination of education and experience will be considered)
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of distribution or warehouse leadership experience
  • Strong familiarity with MS Office applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Display energetic, self-motivated and quick thinking with positive attitude.
  • Must be flexible to work varying schedules, hours, and overtime as needed.

Preferred:

  • Experience using Oracle
  • Prior experience with a WMS (Warehouse Management) system
  • Prior experience with HighJump and/or Compass Conveyor systems
  • Certifications and/or advanced education
